Where the boat picks you up in Antibes and Juan-les-Pins
Antibes Juan-les-Pins is one town in three parts: the old town, the Juan-les-Pins resort and the cape. The harbors below are examples, with no berth guaranteed: name yours when you request a quote, or choose a hotel pontoon, a yacht at anchor or another harbor on the French Riviera.
Port Vauban, below the old town
Antibes's main harbor lies on the east side of the cape, between the old town ramparts and Fort Carré, built under Henri II to guard the border with the County of Nice.
Port Gallice in Juan-les-Pins
Where the cape begins, Port Gallice faces the bay of Golfe-Juan and the Lérins Islands, about 15 minutes away by sea.
Golfe-Juan, in Vallauris
Golfe-Juan belongs to Vallauris, the pottery town where Picasso lived from 1948 to 1955, not to Juan-les-Pins. Its two basins, the Old Port and Port Camille Rayon, share one entrance, near the shore where Napoleon landed on March 1, 1815, back from Elba.
How long by boat from Antibes?
Port Vauban lies on the far side of the cape, so Juan-les-Pins and Golfe-Juan are closer to Cannes and the islands.

Boat trips from Antibes
Your skipper chooses each anchorage by wind and swell, always on sand rather than protected posidonia seagrass: the bay and cape of Antibes share a Natura 2000 site with the Lérins Islands.
Around Cap d'Antibes
From the water, you follow the cape's shore: the Garoupe lighthouse and chapel on the plateau, Villa Eilenroc, completed in 1867 (its name is an anagram of Cornelie), and the rocky coast along the Tirepoil path. A swim at anchor off the cape fits into a half day of about 4 hours.
The Lérins Islands from Antibes
Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat lie across the bay from Juan-les-Pins: a morning at anchor leaves time to swim out to the underwater museum when your skipper gives the go-ahead. See the Lérins Islands private boat tour.
A full day, east or west
With the boat for about 8 hours, cross the Bay of Angels to Villefranche and Monaco, or follow the red rocks of the Estérel westward: see boat rental with skipper by the day. A private sunset cruise can close the evening.
